With A Lil’ Help From My Friends: My Blogiversary!

So this weekend marks my 2 year ‘Blogiversary’ and WOW I’m so excited! I want to say a very huge thank you to everyone who follows Without Cruelty, I absolutely love keeping you all entertained, reading all of your contributions, messages and comments, so thank you all very very much!

I started the blog during a very cold Melbourne winter, the days were grey, Kerry had a broken toe and so I took to my tablet to vent! Only kidding, I thought it would be a great way of promoting a plant-based, cruelty free lifestyle, a way of highlighting my passions and beliefs and hopefully provide a little more insight in to a vegan diet on a backpackers budget. One of my favourite posts from back then, Happy Cow, Happy Girl, highlights a cheap, veggie friendly, Melbourne institution, Gopals. It’s a buffet style restaurant specialising in awesome vegan food. I miss this place dreadfully and urge everyone in Melbourne to go, go right now!

From there it evolved to include a little bit more about me, my bf Kerry, my travels and my random musings. It is now quite eclectic and contains a mixed bag of veganism, days out and things we did while travelling. One of the big things (and possibly life-saving things) we did while backpacking was House and Pet Sitting. It saved us an absolute fortune in accommodation, we got to meet some amazing people and best of all, it meant we got to hang out with some adorable animals. I blogged about our experiences way back when, if you’d like to have a read, the full post is here… Other People’s Pets

Aaaand sooooo, what I need from you guys is a little involvement! Please please have a scroll through my pages (Beauty & Lifestyle, Food & Recipes, Low Carb Living, Wanderlust & Travel) and let me know what interests you the most, what you like the look of, whether it’s travel tips, recipes, or photo posts, please get in touch! Next week I will repost the most popular article and forward it with my current thoughts and insights. And while you’re at it, let me know what you would like to see this coming year. What should I blog about, what do you like, what do you hate, all opinions welcome!!

Thanks again guys, and I’ll really look forward to reading your comments on this one. I know what my favourite post is, I wonder if you all will agree πŸ˜‰

  2. Congrats on your blogaversary!!! I enjoy all of your posts. My favorite, that I can recall just off of memory, was the one where you shared what you packed in your backpack while traveling through Asia. I was so impressed with how functional yet cute everything was.

    1. Thank you so much!! Ahh yes, I remember that post, I was sat in my hotel room in Phnom Penh, watching an episode of Jonathan Creek and looking in horror at all my stuff laid out across the bed! My main focus at that point was definitely functionality, unfortunately though it’s hard to be practical when there are so many ‘cute’ temptations about! My favourite skirt, still to this day, is a wrap around I got in the markets of Siem Reap ❀ Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it and I’ll definitely take your input on board 😊😊😊
